We have carefully selected the accommodation at
Mare Verde in Torviscus for its quiet and pleasant surroundings.
It is the ideal complex for families, located in the exclusive area of
Torviscus in the suburbs of the well known resort of Playa de Las
Americas, close to Puerto Colon with its array of expensive yachts and
extensive water sports facilities.
Nearby also is the esplanade with its tropical gardens, the beginning of
the "Geranium Walk", extending approximately four miles along the coast to
the resort of Los Cristianos and of course an abundance of shops, bars and
some lively restaurants, not to mention two spacious sandy beaches.
Directly behind you will see the
huge mountains from which we will fly, often right down to the resort.
MARE VERDE
is an attractive complex covering a larger area than most due to its
Andalucian style of two storey bungalows arranged like a Canarian village.
The white washed houses interwoven with mature tropical gardens surround a
network of swimming pools running through the middle of the resort. Six
pools which vary in depth and size are connected by a string of streams,
waterfalls and children's slides and are spanned in two places by quaint
bridges. The complex looks its prettiest when the sun shines on the white
buildings, broken by the blue of the pool and the sky amidst an explosion
of brightly coloured bouganvilla, roses and geraniums. It is widely
regarded as having the most attractive pool on the island and there is no
doubt that it has more poolside solar area than almost any other complex
on Tenerife.
All apartments have weekly linen changes and
are fully equipped.

DIRECTIONS
Nearest airport: Reina Sofia, Tenerife South (19 kms).
From the airport, take the left hand lane
for TF1 Los Christianos, follow the motorway south until junction 30 (Torviscas/Playa
Fanabe), turn right (Torviscas sign) and immediately right again to
cross the bridge. The resort is on the right opposite the Playa Olid
Hotel. A taxi will cost around 20€ (£13)
