Continue to village of Abney. Look out for narrow road on left, just after a public phone box, after ˝ mile bear left and continue for 300 yards. Park by stile through which access to ridge can be found. You are actually on top of the hill. COMMENTS A busy site, popular with hang gliders and sailplanes. Great Hucklow Gliding Club uses the main ridge, which is to the south of take off. Top landing can rotor in strong winds. Bottom land at your own risk. Farmers often demand money!! The site also suffers from “broken wave” and therefore potentially extremely turbulent.
