DIRECTIONS:                      

From Holmfirth take A635

From M62 J22, A672 to Denshaw, turn left then immediately right onto A6052 to Delph, then Uppermill. Turn left onto A669, turn left onto A635

Take road down to Dovestones reservoir, park in the car park and take the footpath onto moors.

COMMENTS

The proximity of the Mountain Rescue Point is an indication of the extreme nature of this site. Very remote, rocky in parts and can be very rough if the wind is strong. Do not try this alone!! Manchester TMA is to the west - do not fly further west than Alphin Pike. Max altitude is 3,000 amsl, which is not much above the top! Please do not fly more than 1000' above the highest point of Alphin Pike. You should, at all times carry a current airmap and it is your responsibility to ensure that you are flying
