DIRECTIONS                      

Approach from J32 M6 and head for Chipping or from Clitheroe.  Park off the track leading to the hill. 

COMMENTS

Possibly one of the best all round sites in our guide. Big walk up but huge ridges facing E and west as well as SE. Site shared with the local sail plane club and modelers, so it does get very busy, particularly at weekends. Do not land in grouse moor below east face or cultivated fields with the exception of the ones to each side of the approach track, which are designated bottom landings. Beware of low level power lines crossing the landing field on the east side of the approach road.  A site with good cross country potential.
