Full details of this service are in Aeronautical Information Circular (AIC) 55/2001 Yellow 52 which is available from the AIS. The RAF then decide whether or not to issue a UKLB NOTAM. There have been, and probably will be again, occasions when a UKLB NOTAM is not issued. This is not as daunting as it seems. You phone the number, preferably the evening before, and tell the helpful person on the other end of the phone where you intend to fly (site name and grid ref), between which hours. They then call you back to confirm details and give to you a reference number. In all but the rarest instances, the RAF will issue a UKLB NOTAM accordingly. Below are the links to the current sites. Please note that you should click on the Site name for more comprehensive site details and current restrictions or hazards. At all times you must rely on your own instincts and eye balls. The decision and responsibility to fly or indeed not to fly, will remain with you, the the Pilot in charge. For each first visit, we strongly recommend that you go with a more experienced pilot who has flown that site before MAPS Included on each site page is a a map link which you can zoom in or out of to get your bearings and to get to street level navigation. Unfortunately, due to technical problems we are unable, at the present time, to include everything. This should follow in due course
