DIRECTIONS:                      

From Todmorden or Hebden Bridge take the A58. Follow sign for  Mankinholes. Park on the road, do not drive up any of the private  tracks.

COMMENTS

An easy ridge to soar with high XC potential. Very limited bottom landing for hang gliders. Watch out for wind shear around the quarried area, below  and west of the monument. Take off near to the monument in west or northwest or near to Shepherds Rest if North-easterly. Beware when bottom landing below the monument as the wind direction can change very quickly.  A windsock at bottom is very strongly recommended.
